How many days should the dog wear a deactivated collar before receiving the correction for the first time? At least three days and in some cases as long as 7 days. With five levels of programmable correction, this is our most versatile and advanced receiver. You can increase or decrease the correction to meet your pet''s training needs. At level five, the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver is strong enough for the most stubborn dog. The Deluxe Ultralight Receiver also has a low battery indicator light to let you know when to replace the battery. If your dog is 8 pounds or over and trains easily, you may want the Deluxe System with Ultralight Receiver (RF-3004V). The Ultralight has only one level of correction and does not have the low battery indicator light. Less than 1% of dogs need the Stubborn Dog Receiver. If your dog is over 30 pounds and is extremely stubborn or hard to train you may need the Deluxe System with Stubborn Dog Receiver (RF-3005V). The Stubborn Dog Receiver has only one level of correction that is approximately dogguard three times stronger than the Ultralight Receiver.
